1. Find a pair of good walking or running shoes.
2. Start slow - increase weekly distance and time.
3. Walk with good posture - stand up straight and relax the shoulders.
4. Swing your arms while walking for a better aerobic workout.
5. Walk with a friend - research shows that you are more likely to walk with a friend than alone.
